Aly’s Experience
Aly Ferguson is a seasoned communications and social impact professional with over 13 years of experience spanning national nonprofits, government, and political campaigns.
Most recently, as Director of Communications at Moms First, Aly led all PR and communications efforts for the organization and its founder, Reshma Saujani, driving media coverage and shaping public narratives. Previously, she served as Managing Director of External Affairs at Service Year Alliance, where she built and executed communications, public relations, and advocacy strategies from the organization’s inception.
Aly has also supported mission-driven clients with PR, strategic communications, social media, and advocacy campaigns. Notably, she was the Acting Press Secretary for Governor Deval Patrick’s 2020 presidential campaign, overseeing press operations during the campaign’s launch.
Earlier in her career, Aly worked at The Incite Agency alongside co-founders Ben LaBolt and Robert Gibbs, managing public affairs and advocacy projects. She also handled press for U.S. Senator William “Mo” Cowan and fundraised on high-profile political campaigns in Massachusetts.
With expertise in public relations, advocacy, marketing, and event production across sectors, Aly brings a track record of impactful communications campaigns with measurable results. She holds a degree in Communication from the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School.
Aly lives Newburyport, Massachusetts with her husband, two young children, dog, and cat. When she’s not working she is probably at the beach or skiing with her family.
